CROCHET JAM with Ramekon O'Arwisters

Ramekon Crochet Jam

Crochet Jams are public art-making events begun by Ramekon O’Arwisters in 2012 to engage the public to think differently about the role of art within community and the power of art within society. These events are embracing and inclusive, with no attempt made to dictate the creative process nor judge the finished project.

Ramekon O’Arwisters is an artist who lives and works in San Francisco. He was a recipient of a 2002 Artadia Award and a 2014 Eureka Fellow, awarded by the Fleishhacker Foundation, San Francisco. He has exhibited at the Luggage Store, San Francisco, California and Kato Gallery, Tokyo, Japan. In 2011, he was awarded his second San Francisco Arts Commission Individual Artist Grant. He was formerly a curator of photography and video art at the SFO Museum.

This event is free; registration is appreciated. Register here.

This is the final program in conjunction with the exhibition Tag: Proposal on Queer Play and the Ways Forward.
