Student Board

The ICA Student Board is intended to foster engagement between the undergraduate student body of the University of Pennsylvania and the activities of ICA. Student board members gain exposure to the inner workings of the contemporary art world by consulting the museum’s professional staff. They serve as ambassadors, promoting the museum’s exhibitions, programming, and opportunities. Throughout the academic year at Penn, the Student Board also organizes student-oriented events at the museum and produces an annual arts publication. Students contribute to monthly meetings and volunteer at the museum’s events.

Student Board 2015/2016

In consultation with ICA staff, the Student Board participates in activities that enable them to develop professional skills. They work as a community for students to relate to their peers at the intersection of their interests and across academic disciplines.

Specific initiatives include:
• Monthly Board Meetings
• Annual Student Membership Drive
• Committee Meetings and Activities (Communications, Programming, or Publication)
• Field Trips, Studio Visits, and more

ICA’s Student Board is made up of registered University of Pennsylvania undergraduate students in good standing. Applications are considered from rising sophomores and above.
