In conjunction with the exhibition, Cecilia Vicuña: About to Happen at the ICA, the artist, poet, filmmaker and activist Cecilia Vicuña is joined by poet and Temple University professor Jena Osman to discuss the intersections between politics, aesthetics, and visual arts in their respective practices.

Cecilia Vicuña is an artist, poet, filmmaker and activist whose extensive body of work spans discourses of conceptualism, land art, craft, and writing. She has exhibited at the Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Whitechapel Art Gallery, London; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, among others. She is the author of twenty-two art and poetry books, including Kuntur Ko (Tornsound, 2015) and Spit Temple: The Selected Performances of Cecilia Vicuña (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2012).

Jena Osman is a poet whose recent books of poetry include Corporate Relations (Burning Deck, 2014), Public Figures (Wesleyan University Press, 2012). Her book Motion Studies is forthcoming from Ugly Duckling Press in March 2019. She is a recipient of grants from The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and teaches in the MFA Creative Writing Program at Temple University in Philadelphia.
