Filmmaking is a practice of collapsing thousands upon thousands of hours of labor and decisions into 90 minutes. This workshop style presentation will give us a behind-the-scenes take on Blitz the Ambassador’s first feature narrative, The Burial of Kojo. Being embedded in Ghanian oral tradition and having a long spanning career as a musician and visual artist, Blitz will share his process of visioning and crafting this magical realist film, including illustrating 600 storyboards and how they were transferred from the script to the screen.
