Alvarez is one of the eight artists selected by Lino Kino for the 21st edition of Open Video Call, an annual screening of curated videos by Philadelphia-area artists.

About the artist

Catalina Jordan Alvarez grew up in rural Tennessee with a Colombian mother and an American father. Her narratives explore the movements of bodies across social and geographical boundaries. Seq. #6 is part of a larger project where Alvarez conducted audio interviews with residents of Yellow Spring, Ohio, and later synced the recording with footage of the village.
