Catalina Jordan Alvarez, Sound Spring Seq. #6: The School and the Home
About

Join Lino Kino members Emilie Slater and Maya Shengold in conversation with Catalina Jordan Alvarez to discuss her work, Sound Spring Seq. #6: The School and the Home. The conversation can be accessed via Zoom through the following link: https://upenn.zoom.us/j/93867940059

About the artist

Catalina Jordan Alvarez grew up in rural Tennessee with a Colombian mother and an American father. Her narratives explore the movements of bodies across social and geographical boundaries. Seq. #6 is part of a larger project where Alvarez conducted audio interviews with residents of Yellow Spring, Ohio, and later synced the recording with footage of the village.
