Mindfulness at the Museum with Shesheena Bray

Shesheena Bray
About

The ability to find beauty requires that we slow down and suspend judgment. In today’s Valentine’s Day session, we will mindfully explore the idea of beauty being all around us, through experiencing the immersive artworks within Karyn Olivier: Everything That’s Alive Moves.

Shesheena A. Bray moved to Philadelphia in 2003 to attend Temple University, where she completed her undergraduate degree in African American Studies and Political Science. In 2014, Shesheena realized her service to Black and Brown communities was best actualized through her passion, mental and emotional wellness. Honing her focus and training, she earned a M.S.Ed in mental health counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. Upon completion, Shesheena started Going Inward Wellness, LLC. In addition to seeing clients one-on-one for therapy, Shesheena also leads psycho-educational groups, and teaches mindfulness in Philadelphia public schools.

Programming at ICA has been made possible in part by the Emily and Jerry Spiegel Fund to Support Contemporary Culture and Visual Arts and the Lise Spiegel Wilks and Jeffrey Wilks Family Foundation, and by Hilarie L. & Mitchell Morgan.
