Fred Moten teaches in the Department of Performance Studies at New York University. His most recent books are consent not to be a single being (Duke University Press, 2017/2018) and, with Stefano Harney, All Incomplete (Minor Compositions, 2019). In 2018, Moten received the Roy Lichtenstein Award from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts and was named a United States Artists Fellow.

Following the lecture, please join us for Penn MFA Open Studios 2019, from 8:30PM – 10:30PM. Studios will be open at in the Morgan Building, Charles Addams Building, and Franklin Building, with drinks and refreshments served in Morgan.
