Bodega: Performance Series with Nick Paparone and Pooneh Maghazehe

About

Nick_Paparone006.JPG

Nick Paparone and Pooneh Maghazehe’s bellicose and physically demanding Keynotes parodies the pitches and panderings of a real-life consultation business. Performed two times over the course of the exhibition, it began with the duo calmly wheeling two ergonomic office chairs through the museum lobby and into the exhibition. Standing on the chairs, they tacked black fabric to the wall and set a timer. The performers positioned their chairs facing the wall and began taking turns addressing an imagined audience with screams and flails on subjects such as branding, profits, and legalities.
