Come early and enjoy the exhibitions on view; the galleries will be open until 8PM.

This program is free and open to the public; register here.

Doors open at 7PM; show starts at 8PM. Refreshments will be served.

Brooklyn-based electronic musician Ryan DeRobertis continues his 2012 project Saint Pepsi under the name SKYLAR SPENCE. His familiar boogie-disco tones have been reoriented to include faster tempos in his latest release Prom King. Skylar Spence’s new material pulls from the varied stylistic influences of new wave, UK garage, and boogie. The synthesis of vocals and strong guitar melodies create a cohesive sound that mirrors the artist’s desire to create music that unites.

EYELINER has traveled all the way from New Zealand to bring his unique synthesizer pop sound and aesthetic. His vaporwave-inspired instrumentals are written, mixed, and mastered to create a technicolor world of sci-fi. Luke Rowell, the computer musician behind the pseudonym, began releasing albums in 1999 and has since completed tours all across New Zealand, Europe, and the United States.

ICA welcomes DEATH’S DYNAMIC SHROUD.WMV to the stage for their first time playing live as a duo! The range of their experimental sound carries a haunting eeriness to it that is both mellow and wrought with emotion. Orange Milk Records called death’s dynamic shroud.wmv album 世界大戦OLYMPICS one of the best vapor albums of the year in 2014 for its sharp editing and incredible curatorial sense.

Hailing from Philadelphia, PLASTIC IVY brings a post-punk sound using synthesizers, electronics, rhythm machines, voice, and guitar to create a minimal electronic arrangement. With a much-anticipated debut album in production, Plastic Ivy’s demos on Soundcloud and Bandcamp, including tracks like “Chemical Warfare” and “Knowledge or Nudity,” are just a taste of what’s to come.
