What was video art? Rebecca Cleman, Distribution Director at EAI, posed this question in light of technological and cultural changes in the decades since ICA’s 1975 Video Art exhibition, and David Antin’s influential catalogue essay about the then nascent medium. This final Excursus discussion, which included Homay King (Bryn Mawr College), Herb Shellenberger (International House), Adelina Vlas (Philadelphia Museum of Art), and artists Nadia Hironaka and Matthew Suib, helped to consider the legacy of the medium. To celebrate the conclusion of the Excursus project Blonde Art Books (Brooklyn, NY) was also on hand with a selection of Risograph-printed publications.
