Ever since Jackson Pollock’s famous LIFE magazine spread, the artist and the studio have been virtually synonymous in the public imagination. Today, we might begin to ask what role the studio plays in our post post-studio landscape. Nancy Troy, Corin Hewitt, and Amanda Ross-Ho considered how the studio functions in their work and asked what happens when the studio—as a work-in-progress or as a relic—enters the space of the gallery.
