Opening and Walkthrough: Spring 2013

About

We celebrated the opening of our spring exhibitions Karla Black and Each One As She May with insights and illumination from the exhibition curators, including curators from the Spiegel Contemporary Art Freshman Seminar for Each One As She May; their instructors, Professor Gwendolyn Dubois Shaw and ICA Whitney-Lauder Curatorial Fellow Jennifer Burris; and artists Glenn Ligon and Karla Black. The walkthrough was followed by a conversation between Assistant Curator Kate Kraczon and artist Karla Black who spoke about her gallery-scale sculpture, Practically in Shadow and past work.
