Hear directly from artists about the processes, ideas, and obstacles that inform their work.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1968, Geers’s work spans various mediums, employing forced confrontation with the viewer by subverting allusions to pop culture and art history. Selected exhibitions include the Venice Biennale, Documenta, La Maison Rouge in Paris, Iziko Museums of Cape Town, and the Guggenheim Museum. Geers received a BA from Wits University in 1988 and previously worked as an assistant to artist Richard Prince in New York. He lives and works in Brussels.
