Tim Davis is a photographer whose work explores how the medium of photography can reveal and obscure its subjects–light, objects, and the culture being documented. His project topics include politics, suburban antiquity, light, and commercial signs, among others. He received his BA from Bard College in 1991, his MFA from Yale in 2001, and currently teaches at Bard. His work has been shown internationally and he was the recipient of the Rome Prize in 2007. He lives in New York.
