Join artists Angel Nevarez and Valerie Tevere at the Wagner Free Institute of Science for an evening of live music featuring musicians from Jarana Beat performing Victorian era music in a traditional Mexican style.
The performance expands upon the nineteenth- and twentieth-century history of live music staged at the Wagner’s historic auditorium. The event—part concert, part film shoot—will feature in Nevarez and Tevere’s upcoming work, Memory of a Time Twice Lived. A project initiated by ICA Associate Curator Kate Kraczon, this film will be featured in the artists’ 2016 exhibition at ICA. A reception will follow in the Wagner’s nineteenth-century natural history collection.
