Join us for a special evening of performances and conversation. Matriarch will mount a new performance, What Goes Around Comes Around (2016), which considers the importance of reflection, as well as sustained reciprocal exchanges between artist and audience, amid stimulations in the gallery and the world outside.

Dressed in period costume, Karina Aguilera Skvirsky will reprise her mother’s poetry recitals, reciting in dramatic fashion the work of three Latin American poets against a backdrop of projected vintage photographs from her mother’s past performances. Following the performances, guests are invited to participate in a conversation around reproduction, intergenerational collaboration, and performance.
