Publication is an active part of ICA’s curatorial mission, and we produce a book for every exhibition on view—often retrospectively, to reflect critically on the artworks and exhibitions as installed.
Right now, we’re putting the finishing touches to the catalogues for two of ICA’s current exhibitions: Traces in the Dark and Barbara Kasten: Stages, which will launch in March and April respectively.
Traces in the Dark, designed by Luke Bulman, features an essay by Liz Park, Whitney-Lauder Curatorial Fellow, and a conversation between the curator and artists Deanna Bowen, Harold Mendez, and Gregory Sholette.
Designed by Mark Owens, Barbara Kasten: Stages contains scholarly essays by Alex Klein, Dorothy and Stephen R. Weber Program Curator; Jenni Sorkin; and Alex Kitnick, and a conversation between Kasten and artist Liz Deschenes.
The secure shopping cart in our Books & Editions section makes owning ICA’s eclectic, daring, and research-driven exhibition catalogues so much simpler!
