Amy Sadao, Daniel W. Dietrich, II Director of the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) announced today appointments to the museum’s distinguished, visionary, and creative scholarly team: Anthony Elms as Chief Curator, Alex Klein as the Dorothy and Stephen R. Weber (CHE’60) Curator, and Kate Kraczon as Associate Curator, effective immediately.

These appointments arise during a season of great energy and growth at ICA and in Philadelphia, elevated by a transformative $10 million gift supporting ICA’s curatorial research.

“It is a privilege to work with Anthony, Alex, and Kate—colleagues who exemplify the curator as explorer, teacher, artist advocate, and interlocutor. Their individual and combined knowledge and passion for big questions, new research, and enabling artists’ visions gives audiences opportunities to access the joy, inspiration, and challenge that the very best contemporary art provides,” said Sadao.
