Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania Announces Temporary Closure as of March 13

March 13, 2020
Philadelphia, PA

The Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania announced today that it will temporarily be closed to the public until further notice, in accordance with University of Pennsylvania guidelines to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. All public events taking place at the museum through April 17 have been canceled. ICA staff will have remote office hours Monday through Friday, 9AM to 6PM, also until further notice. Due to restricted access to the building, the public may experience delays in fulfillment of publication orders and archival requests.

ICA’s priority is to protect and support its visitors, staff, and artists to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the community, which at this time calls for minimizing gatherings and activity in the galleries and public spaces.

The museum will continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis and keep the public informed of any changes to current policies. ICA’s website and social media will have the most up-to-date information on the evolving response to this critical health crisis.
