Booking ICA
At ICA, we understand the importance of providing accessible and affordable spaces for events. Our venue offers a unique atmosphere that combines architectural beauty with artistic inspiration. Whether you are planning a small gathering or a larger event, our flexible spaces can accommodate your needs. Please consider ICA for your next reception, screening, or workshop. Our rental coordinator, Caroline, is excited to support you in creating a wonderful event at ICA. ICA is open to the public Wednesday – Sunday, 12 to 6pm and we have visitors in our space during these times. We do not host rentals while we’re installing and deinstalling, between exhibitions.

The Lobby
Capacity: 250 standing
Approx. 1,100 sq. ft.
Recommended Use: Registration, dance floor/ bar, reception, or cocktail party.
Accessibility Notes: This space is located on the first floor. There are three sunken steps in the lobby and there is a ramp. Gender neutral restrooms and an accessible restroom are in the lobby.
Tuttleman Auditorium
Capacity: 80-100 Seated / 200 Standing
Approx. 940 sq. ft.
Recommended Use: Screening, meeting or conference, panel discussion, or workshop.
Accessibility Notes: This space is located on the first floor. Please note that there are no windows in this room.
The Mezzanine
Capacity: 25 Seated / 75 Standing
Approx. 2,800 sq. ft.
Recommended Use: Food and drink stations, dance floor, cocktail hour, or workshop.
Accessibility Notes: This space is located on the second floor and accessible via the main staircase or elevators. To access this space, guests using the elevator will need to walk through the kitchen to the mezzanine.
Tuttleman Terrace
Capacity: 150 Seated / 300 Standing
Recommended Use: Yoga class, seated dinner, dance floor, or reception.
Accessibility Notes: This space is located on the second floor and accessible via the main staircase or elevators. To access this space, guests using the elevator will need to walk through the kitchen and the mezzanine.
The terrace is uncovered, and its use is contingent on weather. If you’re interested in tenting the space, please reach out to discuss cost-sharing opportunities or preferred suppliers for tent rentals.
Rates
Whole Building: $700/hr
First Floor Only (Lobby + Auditorium): $350/hr
Second Floor Only (Mezzanine + Terrace): $350/hr
* Rentals are booked in four-hour increments.
Please note that this does not include additional costs such as staffing, housekeeping, security, or AV fees. We will provide an estimate once we understand the scope of work. To reserve the space, we require a non-refundable $250 retainer that will be subtracted from your final costs. Subsidized pricing is available for events at ICA for University of Pennsylvania affiliates.
