As the registrar, Abercrombie is responsible for logistics planning, record keeping, and the care of the works on view.

Prior to joining ICA, Abercrombie was the lead printer and artist project manager at the Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia. She worked on new prints with dozens of artists, among them Kiki Smith, Mary Heilmann, Richard Tuttle, and Jun Kaneko. She also managed artist residencies and exhibitions, including Nate Young, Mika Tajima, Tommy Joseph, Rúben Ortiz Torres, and Shahzia Sikander. This work, focused on experimentation and material exploration, has informed her role at ICA. Abercrombie enjoys collaborating across departments and with artists.

Abercrombie holds an MFA in studio art from the University of Texas at Austin and a BFA from Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University. She maintains an active studio practice and exhibits regularly. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Temple University, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
