Amanda Silberling is the 2019-2020 Van Doren Fellow, working in public engagement and student outreach at ICA and the Center for Programs in Contemporary Writing. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018, where she studied English and Fine Arts and received the “Best Honors Thesis” prize in Creative Writing. Silberling’s writing on arts and culture has appeared in NPR, Hyperallergic, The Rumpus, Paper Magazine, and other outlets. In 2017, her documentary “We’re Here, We’re Present: Women in Punk” premiered online at VICE and screened at Cineteca Madrid as part of the Mujeres Hechas de Punk festival. Prior to joining ICA, Silberling was Festival Coordinator for the Luang Prabang Film Festival in Luang Prabang, Laos, where she was a Princeton in Asia Fellow.
