Before joining ICA in 2004, Jill Katz served as Marketing Manager at The Jewish Museum in New York. As an educator, she taught art in the New York City public schools and has worked with blind and visually impaired adults at the Jewish Guild for the Blind and through Art Education for the Blind, a program of the Whitney Museum of American Art. While working on her master’s degree, she was a researcher for Artnews for Students, an offshoot publication of Artnews magazine, and an assistant at Zabriskie Gallery. Prior to her experience at The Jewish Museum, Katz worked as Marketing Manager for Intelect Visual Communications, a multimedia corporation. She has served as committee member and chair of the Philadelphia Museum of Jewish Art 2010 to 2017. Katz is also a photographer whose work is based on international travels, with a focus on urban development and social change. She received a BA in English and Art from Syracuse University and an MA in Art Education from New York University along with coursework at the International Center of Photography in New York.
