Bio

As an artist and art administrator, Julia Fox (she/her) is interested in the learning that happens in cultural institutions. She holds both a M.S. Ed. in education, culture and society and a M.S. in nonprofit leadership from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education and School of Social Policy and Practice, respectively, as well as a B.A. in Art History and Studio Art from the University at Albany, State University of New York.

Julia has several years of experience working in Philadelphia-based arts organizations and galleries. Before coming to work at the University of Pennsylvania as an Administrative Assistant in the Undergraduate Fine Arts and Design program, she was the Community Program Manager at the Center for Emerging Visual Artists (CFEVA) where she organized the Philadelphia Open Studio Tours, an annual citywide event with hundreds of artists and partners, in addition to running CFEVA’s artist membership program. Julia is passionate about the arts and the connection and learning it inspires. She is a member of Second State Press and on the board of the Museum Council of Greater Philadelphia.
