Bio

As Digital Content Coordinator, Trad supports the Marketing and Social Media Departments by creating and managing audio/video content for promotional materials and coordinating cross-departmental updates to the ICA website.

In addition to her work at the ICA, Sarah is the Project Manager for 12Gates Art’s Philadelphia Artist Residency, the Director of Programming for the MENA Film Festival in Vancouver and the Founder of the local pop-up cinema and gallery, Batikh Batikh/بطيخ بطيخ. Working as a curator, preparator and filmmaker on the fringes of the art world, Trad’s experience in DIY art environments has given her a variety of skills that inform her practices working with the ICA’s digital content.

Trad holds a BFA in Film from Syracuse University and is a recipient of the university’s Postbaccalaureate Engagement Fellowship, as well as a PlySpace Residency Fellowship and Leeway Foundation Art and Change Grant. Her experimental films and expanded cinema installations have been shown at the Antimatter Media Art Festival, Toronto Arab Film Festival, Rendezvous with Madness Festival, Everson Museum of Art, Burlington City Arts, and Currents New Media.
